Get a jump start on healthy living with Let's Move California!: Fitness Feria. Fitness Feria offers a free day of fun for both parents and children of all ages. Participate in more than 40 sports and fitness activities while learning about health and wellness. Go Metro to the event and receive a raffle ticket for the opportunity to win Wolfgang Puck cooking appliances, sporting equipment and more great prizes.
Just show your valid Metro Pass or Metro Rail ticket at the event's registration booth for your free raffle ticket. The Fitness Feria takes place on Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools. Plan your route with the Trip Planner.
The event, led by FAME Assistance Corporation in partnership with Advancing America Foundation, will benefit 7,000 to 10,000 children and families by educating families on how to navigate the United States fitness achievement system and providing information about the importance of physical activity. In addition, there will be free medical screenings, cooking demonstrations, nutrition information and healthy foods available. Kids can engage in various drills led by the Los Angeles Sparks women's basketball team, Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team and trainers from Ultimate Fighting Championship and CrossFit.
